There are over 3 miles of Powder River and cottonwood trees along the east side of the ranch. Both mule deer and whitetail deer are abundant in the river bottoms along with ducks, geese and turkeys. The upland native pastures are home to the mule deer, antelope and upland game birds.
With the improvements, irrigated bottoms, and well watered native pastures, the ranch allows for normal operations even in the driest years. The Powder River Cottonwood bottoms are any ranchers dream offering great winter protection for livestock. The wildlife population will amaze any newcomers but are a common site to the owner.
